Liz Stillisano OWNER / CREATIVE DIRECTOR / EXTENSION SPECIALIST Liz founded Eclectic Styles Hair Studio in 2011 at the age of 19, putting her entire savings into a hope and a dream that a salon could be something genuinely different. More than a decade later, she is still here, still holding that standard, and still as passionate about the craft as she was on day one. With over 20 years of experience, Liz has built a portfolio that includes more than 30 industry awards and recognition at a national and international level. She has travelled nationally and internationally attending education events, assisted and led education with brands including Hairjamm, Davines, Pure, Juuce and P.O.D by EcoHeads, and has published work featured in The Journal Magazine, Hair Biz Magazine and InStyle Magazine.

She has competed extensively throughout her career and after multiple wins at the WA
International Hairstylist Society competitions, was invited to join the IHS committee, where
her primary focus was encouraging young hairdressing talent to participate in competitions
and further their craft.

Liz specialises in colour and hair extensions, with a particular expertise in seamless
blending, lived-in blondes and technically complex colour work. She manufactures her own
exclusive range of hair extensions, sourced and tested rigorously over many years to ensure
the quality is exactly what she demands for her clients.

When she is not in the salon, Liz is most likely at home with her husband Matt and their
daughter, who arrived in 2025 and has already made a very strong impression on the entire
team.

Matt Simpson Co-Owner / Senior Barber / The Eclectic Barber Matt joined the Eclectic Styles family in 2016, bringing his passion for barbering and his own brand, The Eclectic Barber, into the salon. What started as a barber within a salon has grown into a genuine business partnership, and today Matt is co-owner of Eclectic Styles alongside his wife Liz. Behind the scenes, Matt keeps the business running. From salon coordination and operations to marketing and everything in between, he is the steady hand that allows the creative team to focus on what they do best. If you have ever had a seamless experience at Eclectic Styles, a lot of that is Matt.

In the chair, Matt is a specialist in traditional and modern men's cuts, beard grooming and
deluxe face shaves. He is a trusted ambassador for The Beard Struggle and if growing or
styling a beard is on your mind, you are in exactly the right hands. He has a very impressive
beard of his own, so consider that a live demonstration.

Matt genuinely loves what he does. He takes the time to listen, helps every client find a style
that suits their life, and makes sure you know exactly how to maintain it at home.

Jo Team Leader / Senior Hairdresser / Vivid Colour & Extension Specialist Jo has been part of the Eclectic Styles team for 12 years, and in that time she has grown from a high-achieving apprentice into one of the most decorated and respected stylists in Western Australia. Her journey is one of the stories we are most proud of. She joined us young, threw herself into her craft with a ferocity that was impossible to ignore, and has gone on to represent Australia and New Zealand on a global stage. That kind of trajectory doesn't happen by accident. It happens when talent meets dedication and the right environment to grow.

Jo is now our team leader, working closely alongside Liz to maintain the standard the salon
is built on. Over the past year, with Liz on maternity leave and then returning to restricted
hours after the arrival of her daughter, Jo has stepped up in a way that has been nothing
short of extraordinary. She has carried the salon with the kind of care and ownership that
only comes from someone who genuinely treats it as her own.

Technically, Jo is exceptional across all colour work, and the more complex or technical the
service, the more she loves it. She specialises in vivid colour, lived-in blondes and hair
extensions, and has a particular gift for the kind of transformations that make clients gasp at
the reveal.

Outside the salon, Jo is obsessed with Christmas, has a deep love for llamas, and has
recently been exploring floristry as a creative outlet. She also competes and wins, which
should come as no surprise to anyone who has seen her work.

Taylah Senior Hairdresser / Blonde Specialist / GHD Styling Ambassador Taylah is in her fifth year with the Eclectic Styles team, and in that time she has become one of our most trusted and loved senior stylists. Her passion for hairdressing began in high school and has only grown stronger, and it shows in every single appointment she delivers. Taylah's specialty is blondes and lived-in blondes, and she is genuinely exceptional at it. Her balayage work and blonde transformations are some of the most requested results on our social media, and she brings the same precision and care to every colour service she performs. She is also highly skilled in hair extensions, delivering seamless results with a warmth and genuine care for each client's hair journey that keeps people coming back.

As a GHD Styling Ambassador, Taylah brings an extra layer of professional expertise to
every styling service, and yes, her GHD curl game is exceptional.

Fun facts: Taylah is our resident Barbie, she is obsessed with all things pink, and when she
is not creating hair magic she is most likely camping or deep in a reality TV series. We love
having her on the team, and we know you will love your time in her chair.

Mark Emerging Stylist / Under Intercoiffure Guillaume Mentorship Mark is in his third year with the Eclectic Styles team, and the growth we have seen in him over that time is genuinely remarkable. He came to hairdressing later than most, boldly beginning his journey in his thirties, and that perspective brings something really special to the way he connects with clients. Hair has always fascinated Mark. Growing up, he was inspired by watching his mum come home from the salon looking and feeling her best, and that early spark has grown into a heartfelt mission to create that same feeling for others.

Mark is currently undertaking mentorship under the Intercoiffure Guillaume team, one of the
most prestigious development pathways available to an emerging stylist. He approaches
every session, every education opportunity and every client with an enthusiasm that is
genuinely contagious.

Clients love his gentle nature, his genuine care and the way he listens. We are so proud of
who he is becoming.
